Spelling

We use the audio / visual patterns as the basis of the spelling program. We do not focus on spelling rules which makes this program accessible to students with a wide variety of abilities.

The Spelling program consists of: Word Blocks, Check Words and Check Spelling.

Word Blocks and Check Words have already been introduced in Reading. They are practice activities, where the student may make mistakes and correct them.

Each Check Spelling exercise revisits one word from each of the previous ten pages.
